Dermal Fillers

Fillers are used to ‘fill out’, hydrate or volumize facial lines, wrinkles and/or volume defects. Fillers can be used to soften laugh lines, to treat wrinkles on the face or around the lips, to create an eyebrow lift, to sculpt fuller and softer looking lips and to soften a jowl. Hyaluronic acid based temporary fillers are the most popular choice.

The results only last for 9 months to 2 years, based on the type of filler which is used. But temporary fillers have the best safety profile. Complications, if any, are short lived and easily reversible. Fillers are also used to treat tear troughs.

This is the sunken ridge around eyes, and is very common in Indian faces. Fillers (either Hyaluronic acid, or your own fat) are also used to fill out hollow cheeks, making them look fuller and younger.

The results are instantaneous and continue to improve over the next couple of weeks. Hyaluronic acid filler and autologous (your own) fat transfers are non-toxic and do not need any prior allergy testing. Do check ‘Patient Information Leaflet – Cosmetic’ for more information on dermal fillers.
